As part of Nordic Week 2025, young Tanzanian entrepreneurs took center stage in a vibrant Startup Showcase that highlighted the bold, practical solutions emerging from Nordic-backed incubators and innovation programs. The event featured a dynamic mix of panel discussions, entrepreneur spotlights, and an awards ceremony, all designed to celebrate innovation and inspire cross-sector collaboration.

The spotlight was on startups tackling challenges in climate resilience, agriculture, digital tech, marine litter, and the Blue Economy—from turning waste into business opportunities to protecting ocean ecosystems and scaling smart agricultural solutions.

One key player, Tech Bridge, a Norwegian accelerator supported by NORAD, presented their ongoing work to stimulate innovation through hackathons and early-stage business support. Their Blue Economy initiative is projected to generate 9,000 jobs across Kenya and Tanzania within five years—an ambitious step toward building resilient, circular economies.
